Knockdhu anCnoc Stack

Stack is a peated anCnoc, a 10 year old Limited Edition from Knockdhu distillery near Huntly in Banffshire, bottled in 2016, an outturn of 6,000 bottles. The name continues the distillery's peat theme. Knockdhu, named anCnoc to set it apart from Knockando, makes a normally light Highland spirit.

Production resumed under Inver House in 1989, with peated spirit made only occasionally. Over ten years the ex-Bourbon oak softens the peat and adds vanilla beneath it.

Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla, the smoke coming from peat phenols. On the palate, citrus, smoke, a fragrant lift, a faint solvent note and vanilla. A peated anCnoc.
