Knockdhu anCnoc 2001 Cask #480

This 2001 single cask is an 18 year old anCnoc, a Single Cask Exclusive drawn from ex-Bourbon cask 480 and bottled in 2019 for Germany, an outturn of 600 bottles. Knockdhu, at Knock, in Banffshire, adopted the anCnoc name so as not to be confused with Knockando.

The site returned to production in 1989. Eighteen years in a single ex-Bourbon cask build a deep, waxy vanilla character, bottled at full strength.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 53.8%. Vanilla and coconut come from the ex-Bourbon's vanillin and oak lactones. The recorded notes run to a sherried hint, citrus, fresh fruit, honey, a nutty edge and a toasted note. A full-strength single-cask anCnoc.
