Best Dram is a German single-cask specialist. This bottling is a 8 year old Williamson, from cask 129, laid down in 2015 and drawn off in 2023. Williamson is the code for teaspooned Laphroaig: add a spoonful of another malt to the cask and it must be sold as a blended malt rather than under the distillery name. The name nods to Bessie Williamson, Laphroaig's mid-century owner.

Matured in Port, eight years wrap its oily, tarry smoke in the cask's character.

At its natural 58.1%, the Port lends plum and cherry. Expect chocolate, leather, smoke.
