Description
Whiskykeller is an independent bottler. Filled in 2013 and bottled 2023, the whisky is a 10 year old Williamson. The Williamson label denotes teaspooned Laphroaig: a spoonful of another malt added to the cask, enough to require a blended-malt designation. Bessie Williamson, who took the distillery over in 1954, gives the name.
Matured in Oloroso, ten years wrap the iodine-rich spirit in the cask's character.
At 58.1%, undiluted, the Oloroso brings a nutty, dried-fruit richness. The smoke is tarry and medicinal, salt on the close.
