A Tullibardine single malt, released by Duncan Taylor, an 11 year old from 2013, drawn from cask 105437 and bottled at 54.3%. A release of 251 bottles. Set at the foot of the Ochil Hills, Tullibardine has distilled since 1949. Water comes from the Ochil Hills springs, the same source as the Highland Spring bottled water.

Distilled in copper stills on Ochil Hills spring water, giving the light, fruity spirit at its heart. Ex-Bourbon casks held it, soft oak that lets the honeyed fruit lead. At this age the spirit is fresh and honeyed, the malt and soft fruit bright. The light, malty make leans on the cask for much of its colour and flavour. Blackford's spring water has drawn brewers and distillers to the village for centuries. Tullibardine was founded in 1949 by the architect William Delme-Evans, the first new distillery in post war Scotland. King James IV is said to have bought ale at a Blackford brewery in 1488, on the site the distillery now occupies.

At 54.3%, undiluted, it is deep and fruity. The refill oak lending honey and vanilla runs under apple, honey and a gentle spice. It is fruity and soft, the fruit and oak well matched. A warming, honeyed finish lingers. This is a honeyed Highland single malt from Perthshire.
