This is a Tullibardine single malt, released by Duncan Taylor matured to 10 year old from 2013, drawn from cask 10538624 and bottled at 52.3%. Just 87 bottles were filled. Tullibardine, founded in 1949 by William Delme-Evans in Blackford, on the edge of the Highlands, is known for its wine cask finishes. It stands on a site with five hundred years of brewing; King James IV bought ale at Blackford in 1488.

It was drawn off copper pot stills fed by the Danny Burn, for a soft, vanilla scented spirit. Ex-Bourbon casks held it, soft oak that lets the honeyed fruit lead. At this age the spirit is fresh and honeyed, the malt and soft fruit bright. The cool Highland climate gives a slow, even maturation over the years. The malt also feeds the Highland Queen blend, another brand in the Picard stable. Part of the old estate was turned into a retail outlet during the lean years.

At 52.3%, undiluted, it is deep and fruity. A gentle vanilla from the wood runs under apple, honey and a gentle spice. It is fruity and soft, the fruit and oak well matched. The finish is rounded, honeyed and gentle. This is a honeyed Highland single malt from Perthshire.
