Description
The Stin comes from Styria in Austria, a green and hilly corner that the distillery draws on for its botanicals. Around the classic juniper, coriander and angelica root sit locally grown ingredients, apple, lavender and lemon verbena chief among them, giving the gin a distinctly regional voice. Bottled overproof at 57%, it makes no apology for its intensity.
The nose is dominated by juniper, with floral lavender and citrus accents lifting through. The palate is strong and full-bodied, herbal spice balanced against delicate fruit and a subtle sweetness, before a long, spicy, refreshing finish. The strength makes it a natural for a robust G&T that holds its flavour against plenty of tonic, or a Martini with real presence.
