Description
The Crolly began distilling in 2020 inside the former Crolly doll factory in the Donegal Gaeltacht, running small pot stills and wearing its Irish language identity proudly. Croithlí is the village's own name, and the Coillín Darach Oak Series sets the same young single malt against different oak species to show exactly what the tree contributes. This Quercus Alba edition, bottled for the German market, is the American white oak chapter.
Maturation in ex-bourbon American white oak gives the classic template, vanilla, coconut and cereal sweetness over the green apple and white pepper typical of young Irish malt. Bottled at 46%, it is the natural baseline of the series, Donegal spirit in familiar wood, the reference point against which the European and Irish oak editions can be measured.
