Slane Extra Sherry

A Wood Series release from Slane, the Brown-Forman backed distillery on the Conyngham estate beside the Boyne in Co. Meath, bottled at 45% in a full litre for an event. The Wood Series takes the house Triple Casked idea and turns the oak up.

Virgin oak, Tennessee whiskey barrels and Oloroso sherry casks each get a say: fresh sawn oak and toasted spice from the new wood, vanilla and char from the American barrels, dried fruit and a sherried, malt extract richness from the Oloroso. The extra strength over the core blend keeps it firm and warming through the finish, where new oak and raisin trade places, making this litre bottling a more muscular take on the Slane style.
