Red berries and a whisper of red tea give this one a sweet-tart, juicy heart, with coriander and soft florals keeping it lively. Built on rare red tea from Sikkim in north-east India, it trades juniper austerity for fruit-led charm. Smooth, slightly floral, and made for a berry-topped G&T.

Description
Sikkim is made by Sibbaris Privee in Spain, but its imagination travels east: the gin is built around red tea from the Sikkim region of north-east India, one of the world's great tea-growing corners. That base lends a soft, aromatic structure quite unlike a London Dry, and it is layered with blueberries, blackberries, iris, orange, coriander and calamus into a fruit-forward, modern style. The Bilberry expression pushes the berry note furthest.
The nose is fruity and clearly berried; the palate is sweetish-tart and juicy, juniper threaded through ripe red fruit, with coriander, herbs and that tannic tug of tea behind it. The finish is soft and medium-length. Serve it with a mild tonic and a handful of fresh blueberries or a strip of orange zest, letting the red tea and red berries do their quiet harmonising.
