Rhum Chantal Comte Fighting Spirit Green Lagoon is a Mauritian white rum from the Fighting Spirit range, distilled from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice and bottled by Rhum Chantal Comte. As Mauritius lies outside the protected agricole appellation, this is agricole-style cane rum rather than a legal agricole.

What sets it apart is how approachable it drinks for a cane-juice white: less of the intense, briny vegetal punch of a Martinique blanc and more ripe fruit, with fresh citrus on the nose and notable banana and kiwi across an oily, warming palate. The finish stays dry, oily and lightly floral. Unaged and made to show the cane, it bottles at a substantial 55%, the proof adding weight without sharp edges. A friendlier, fruit-forward take on the white agricole idea, well suited to a long, fresh cooler.
