Remedy Pineapple

Remedy Pineapple is a pineapple flavoured spirit built on a column distilled molasses rum base, honest about being a sweet, fruity mixer rather than a serious rum. The nose is all pineapple, sweet and pronounced, with a synthetic, slightly alcoholic note that signals the added flavouring.

Bottled at 40%, the palate carries candied pineapple, vanilla and honey, finishing again on pineapple with that same artificial, fruity character. The sweetness is high and the rum underneath largely a vehicle for the flavour. It is squarely a cocktail ingredient, at home in Pina Colada style drinks and tropical mixes where its sweet pineapple punch can do the work.
