Lemon and sun-warmed herbs lead, with juniper, basil and slightly sweet myrtle berries giving this gin its Aeolian-island character. The Inga family have distilled in Italy since the 19th century, building it on a clean, multi-distilled base. Floral, faintly saline and Mediterranean to its core.

Description
Named for the smallest of Sicily's Aeolian islands, Panarea Island Gin sets out to bottle a stretch of Italian coastline. It is produced by the Inga family, distillers since the 19th century, on a first-class multi-distilled base for purity. Where a London Dry would reach for the usual suspects, this one leans on myrtle berries, citrus peel and basil alongside juniper and coriander, drawing on the wild scrub that fringes the Mediterranean shore.
The nose is fresh with citrus, fine herbs and a floral hint. The palate is soft and complex, lemon, juniper and herbs meeting the gentle sweetness of myrtle, lightly spiced with basil and coriander, before a long, sea-fresh finish. Serve it with a good Indian tonic, a strip of lemon zest and a basil leaf, with a pinch of sea salt if you want the coast to come closer.
