The Scotch Malt Whisky Society, which codes its bottlings rather than naming distilleries, 72 being Miltonduff. This 30 Year Old is a 1982 vintage, titled Bouquet of flowers in a new car, an outturn of 244.

Thirty years in a bourbon cask carried the soft, floral character to the edge of its life, ethereal beeswax and ester fruit, the tannins held just short of bitterness.

At 49.8% it shows fresh fruit over deep mature orchard fruit and vanilla, undiluted. A Society 72.27.
