From Ian Macleod's Dun Bheagan range, this 26 Year Old comes from a 1989 ex-Bourbon cask, number 449010, an outturn of 324 bottles. Miltonduff, the delicate Speyside drawn from the abbey-blessed Black Burn and long bound for Ballantine's.

Twenty-six years in a bourbon cask, much of it past peak extraction, left the soft, floral character stewed and leathery, the alcohol slowly leaving for the angels.

At 50% it shows deep mature orchard fruit and vanilla, undiluted. A Dun Bheagan 26.
