Description

From Van Wees, the Dutch house behind The Ultimate range, this 12 Year Old draws on a 2009 vintage in ex-Bourbon, cask 701782. Miltonduff, the floral Speyside distilled where Pluscarden Abbey's old meal mill once stood, long a heart of Ballantine's.

Twelve years in ex-Bourbon let oak and spirit knit, vanilla and honey from lignin and wood sugars settling into the sweet, floral distillate.

At 46% it shows orchard fruit, pear and vanilla. An Ultimate 12.
