Description

Douglas McGibbon bottles this 12 Year Old in its McGibbon's Provenance range, a 1998 winter-distillation vintage from ex-Bourbon cask 6860. Miltonduff, the fresh, floral Speyside distilled beside Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin and long bound for the Ballantine's blend.

Across twelve years in American oak the tannins softened and esterification got underway, vanilla and light fudge rounding the sweet, floral distillate.

At 46% it shows red apple, pear and soft vanilla. A McGibbon's Provenance 12.
