Miltonduff 11 Years Old 2009 Cask #6341 (Alistair Walker Whisky Company)

Alistair Walker, of the family behind BenRiach and GlenDronach, runs the Infrequent Flyers range. Distilled in 2009, this 11 Year Old matured in a Pedro Ximenez cask, number 6341, a release of 646 bottles. Miltonduff, a light, floral Speyside from near Elgin, its spirit long destined for the Ballantine's blend.

Eleven years in Pedro Ximenez loaded the soft, floral character with the sweetest sherry, residual sugars and melanoidins giving raisin, date and treacle.

At 59.7% it shows chocolate, dried fruit, honey, an oily texture and a sherried depth, undiluted. An Infrequent Flyers 11.
