Meisner Pistazien Sahnelikör

Meisner Pistazien Sahnelikor is a cream liqueur made by Robert Meisner in Heide, Schleswig-Holstein, that joins the nutty, intense flavour of pistachios to fresh cream. The pistachio and cream are blended into a smooth emulsion bottled at a gentle 15%, balancing a sweet, lightly roasted nut flavour against a soft, mild body. The authentic pistachio character carried on cream is its signature.

The nose is intense pistachio with a hint of almond and cream, the palate creamy, sweet and nutty with fine roasted notes and a hint of vanilla, finishing long and smooth with a lingering pistachio flavour. Behind the bar it works as a nutty body and dessert ingredient, adding dairy richness, pistachio flavour and sweetness, which makes it a natural over ice, in a creamy nut cocktail or stirred into espresso for an after dinner pour. Serve it well chilled, neat or on the rocks to show the texture. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy product once opened, so keep it cool and use it reasonably fresh.
