Lunazul Tequila Reposado

Lunazul Reposado is a 100% Blue Weber tequila made at the Tierra de Agaves distillery in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, the house Francisco Beckmann founded in 2002 after years as a co-owner of Jose Cuervo. The line spans blanco, reposado, añejo and Primero, all hand labelled, with this rested expression bottled at 40%.
The reposado spends six months in bourbon casks, which build on the lowland cooked-agave base. The nose is delicate and fruity with baked or grilled pineapple over clean baked agave, and the palate turns to lush caramel layered with lightly sweet vanilla, fruit and spice that resolve into subtle oak. It finishes long and creamy with lingering smoky-edged, spiced notes, an accessible rested tequila that keeps the agave legible beneath the wood.
