The 14 Year Old extends the core range with a touch more age and a clearer thread of smoke, the spiced-apple-and-soft-smoke character the distillery leans into here. It draws on Loch Lomond's varied stills, where the same site makes both fruity and lightly peated spirit.

Fourteen years in ex-Bourbon round the spirit, the low-tannin American oak lending vanilla through lignin breakdown while a measure of peated malt carries the smoke.

At 46% it shows baked apple and orchard fruit over a soft wood smoke, guaiacol from the peat giving the gentle reek, vanilla from the oak beneath. A balanced, lightly smoky 14.
