From Uncharted Whisky Co., this Loch Lomond Single Grain, the distillery's 100% malted-barley grain, is a mature 28 year old from 1996, cask UC046.
Twenty-eight years in ex-Bourbon mature the light grain, the gentle oak giving vanilla while evaporation slowly drew down the cask over the decades.
At 48% it shows chocolate, citrus, fresh fruit, honey, a nutty note and an oily depth over old wood. A mature grain.
