This 37 year old was Linkwood's entry in Diageo's 2016 Special Releases, distilled in 1978 and bottled at cask strength, an outturn of 6,114 bottles. A rare chance to see the distillery at great age.

Nearly four decades in ex-Bourbon carried the floral Speyside spirit into a deep, gentle maturity, the clear-wort lightness still legible beneath the oak.

At 50.3% it shows citrus, honey and fresh fruit with a hay-like, leafy lift, a fragrant delicacy rare at this age. A very mature Special Releases Linkwood.
