Description

Gordon & MacPhail built its name on long-aged Speyside casks from its Elgin warehouses, founded 1895. The cask was filled in 1946 and bottled in 1986, a 40 year old Linkwood, from the Crystal Decanter range.

Time in ex-Bourbon, forty years of it, frames its clean, apple-and-pear character.

At 40%, vanilla rises from the ex-Bourbon over the orchard fruit. The Speyside fruitiness shines, grassy and honeyed.
