Likormanufaktur Deheck Dubai Schokoladen Likor is an organic cream liqueur from the Deheck distillery in Germany, bottled at 15%. It is built on organic cocoa, roasted pistachios and a subtle hint of cardamom, a composition that nods to the flavours of oriental desserts while keeping to a short list of high quality ingredients. The cardamom and pistachio against a cocoa base are the defining idea, set into a dairy cream emulsion that gives it its soft body.

The nose is mild and nutty with speculoos, cocoa and chocolatey roasted aromas, the palate mild and creamy with nutty pistachio, caramelised biscuit spice, cardamom, a little cinnamon and chocolate, finishing long and creamy. Behind the bar it adds dairy richness, spiced cocoa sweetness and a smooth texture, which makes it a natural in a latte macchiato, an Alexander riff or poured over pistachio ice cream. Serve it chilled, neat or over ice, and stir a measure into coffee for a spiced dessert serve. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy product once opened, so keep it cool and use it reasonably fresh.
