Description
Le Tribute is a Spanish gin from the respected MG Destilerias, a nod to traditional distilling married to modern precision. Its seven botanicals are each distilled separately so their character comes through cleanly, then blended: lemongrass, lime, grapefruit, kumquat, mandarin, cardamom and juniper. The retro-tinged bottle hints at the freshness within.
The nose is a wave of citrus led by lemongrass and lime, with fine juniper behind. The palate is intense and fresh, harmonious grapefruit, kumquat and mandarin lifted by spicy cardamom, before a dry, elegant, long finish with a fine herbal note. At 43% it makes an exceptional G&T with a floral or lemony tonic and a stalk of fresh lemongrass to garnish.
