Laphroaig Handfilled – Distillery only 26 Years Old 1996

Hand-filled at the distillery and sold only there, this 26 year old from a 1996 vintage came from cask 003, just 300 bottles. The kind of bottle you have to visit Islay to buy.

More than two decades in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso soften the smoke and add fig and raisin.

At 51.8% the peat is mellow under the sherry, dried fruit, an oily texture, vanilla and tobacco alongside. A hand-filled distillery exclusive.
