Laphroaig 8 Years Old (Premier Barrel)

Fred Laing founded Douglas Laing in Glasgow in 1948, and the third generation runs it still. This 8 year old Laphroaig is an Islay single malt, part of the Premier Barrel Selection.

A bourbon barrel and eight years settle its peaty, maritime character.

Bottled at 46%, the ex-Bourbon adds a vanilla sweetness. The peat is oily and phenolic, brine underneath.
