Murray McDavid, the independent founded in 1996 and now based at the former Coleburn distillery. This 27 year old Laphroaig, from cask 9207, was distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2015. in The Syndicate's range.

Twenty-seven years in a bourbon hogshead shape Laphroaig's seaweed-and-smoke peat.

At 44.3%, vanilla rises from the bourbon wood. A coastal, medicinal smoke carries through to the finish.
