Description

The 2022 entry in Laphroaig's 25 Year Old Cask Strength Edition, the annual full-strength release of the distillery's oldest core age. Each year's batch differs with the casks drawn, this one matured in ex-Bourbon with a turn in Oloroso.

A quarter century mellows the medicinal smoke into a waxy maturity, the cask strength keeping it vivid where the standard 40% bottlings turn gentle.

At 53.4% the peat is soft but present, the Oloroso lending fig and raisin from its melanoidins. Look for chocolate, citrus, cooked fruit and fresh fruit.
