Description

At twenty-five years Laphroaig's smoke has long since turned waxy and soft, and the annual Cask Strength Edition bottles that maturity without dilution. This is the 2018 release, matured in ex-Bourbon.

The decades in oak, much of it in the seaside warehouses, settle the peat into a deep, mellow base.

At 52% the medicinal smoke is gentle, vanilla from the bourbon oak over a waxy base. The profile takes in new wood, citrus, fresh fruit and an oily texture.
