Description

At twenty-five years Laphroaig's smoke has long since turned waxy and soft, and the annual Cask Strength Edition bottles that maturity without dilution. This is the 2015 release, matured in ex-Bourbon with a turn in Oloroso.

The decades in oak, much of it in the seaside warehouses, settle the peat into a deep, mellow base.

At 46.8% the medicinal smoke is gentle, the Oloroso lending fig and raisin from its melanoidins. It carries fresh fruit, citrus, vanilla and an oily texture.
