Description

At twenty-five years Laphroaig's smoke has long since turned waxy and soft, and the annual Cask Strength Edition bottles that maturity without dilution. This is the 2011 release, matured in Oloroso and American oak.

The decades in oak, much of it in the seaside warehouses, settle the peat into a deep, mellow base.

At 48.6% the medicinal smoke is gentle, the Oloroso lending fig and raisin from its melanoidins.
