Laphroaig 25 Years Old 1998 (SMWS 29.293)

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society grew from a 1978 cask-sharing syndicate into the club founded in 1983 at The Vaults in Leith. A 25 year old Laphroaig, from cask 29.293, this was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2023., from the Moss and mist range.

A bourbon barrel and twenty-five years settle its phenolic, medicinal smoke.

At its natural 53.3%, the bourbon wood adds vanilla and light spice. Medicinal smoke, kelp and tar in the house style.
