Description

Andrew Symington started Signatory Vintage in 1988, a hotel manager turned one of Scotland's busiest bottlers. This 25 year old Laphroaig, from cask 10495, was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2024.

It spent twenty-five years in ex-Bourbon, long enough to round its medicinal south-Islay peat.

At 54.9%, undiluted, the bourbon wood adds vanilla and light spice. Tar, smoke and antiseptic iodine run the length of it.
