The Scotch Malt Whisky Society has bottled single casks under code numbers since its 1983 founding in Leith. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2015, this 20 year old Laphroaig, from cask 29.165 followed. in the Cigar-smoking, perfumed nurse range.

Twenty years in ex-Bourbon let the oak work its medicinal south-Islay peat.

At 57.4%, undiluted, with sweet vanilla from the ex-Bourbon cask. Smoke, salt and tar, medicinal to the last.
