Description

Andrew Symington started Signatory Vintage in 1988, a hotel manager turned one of Scotland's busiest bottlers. The cask was filled in 1990 and bottled in 2010, a 19 year old Laphroaig, from cask 87., from the Cask Strength Collection.

Held in ex-Bourbon for nineteen years, the oak settles Laphroaig's tar-and-iodine smoke.

At 54.4%, undiluted, the cask lends vanilla and a touch of honey. Iodine, brine and peat smoke define the south-Islay style.
