Description

Cadenhead's bottles in the old style, without colour or chill filtration, a habit kept since 1842. Distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2015, this 17 year old Laphroaig followed.

Seventeen years in a bourbon hogshead shape Laphroaig's tar-and-iodine smoke.

Bottled at cask strength, 56.2%, the ex-Bourbon gives vanilla. Peat, iodine and a maritime salinity hold the palate.
