This 15 marks a visit of the Allied Domecq board to Laphroaig in 2000, when the company owned the distillery, a rare commemorative bottling never meant for general sale.

Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon over heavily peated malt gave the standard mid-aged Laphroaig of the period.

At 43% the peat is medicinal and smoky, citrus and a faint sweaty note in support. A corporate rarity for collectors.
