Description

Duncan Taylor began as a Glasgow cask broker in 1938 and now bottles from Huntly in Aberdeenshire. Filled in 2004 and bottled 2020, the whisky is a 15 year old Laphroaig, from cask 5620919., from The Octave Premium range.

Fifteen years in the bourbon cask lend vanilla to its oily, tarry smoke.

At 56.1%, undiluted, with vanilla and coconut from the bourbon oak. Tar, smoke and antiseptic iodine run the length of it.
