Laphroaig 15 Years Old 200 Years of Laphroaig

Laphroaig turned 200 in 2015, and this 15 year old was the widely-released bottling that marked it, some 72,000 bottles carrying the bicentenary livery. A celebration dram in classic mid-aged form.

Fifteen years in ex-Bourbon over malt dried on Islay peat gave a rounded, citrus-led Laphroaig, the smoke eased by age.

At 43% the peat is medicinal and smoky, hay, citrus, a coal-gas note and honey filling it out. Two centuries of Laphroaig in a glass.
