Description

Samaroli was founded in Rome in 1968 by Silvano Samaroli, the first independent bottler outside Britain and a legend whose 1967 Laphroaig is among the most coveted whiskies ever bottled. A 13 year old Laphroaig, from cask 4119, this was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2013.

An ex-Bourbon cask and thirteen years shape the deep south-shore peat.

At 40%, with vanilla and light oak from the ex-Bourbon. The smoke is tarry and medicinal, salt on the close.
