Description

Murray McDavid was founded in 1996 by Mark Reynier, Gordon Wright and Simon Coughlin, the team that went on to revive Bruichladdich. The cask was filled in 1997 and bottled in 2011, a 13 year old Laphroaig, from cask 001., from the for The Specialists Choice range.

From ex-Bourbon, thirteen years draw out the smoky, antiseptic make.

At 46%, with bourbon-cask vanilla underneath. The medicinal smoke is unmistakable, brine and tar behind it.
