Laphroaig 12 Years Old Ceramic Jug

The ceramic jug is the giveaway: this rare old Italian-market 12 was decanted into stoneware, a collectable format from decades past, filled at the old 43% strength.

Twelve years in ex-Bourbon over heavily peated malt gave a softer, sweeter Laphroaig than the modern releases, vanilla and chocolate rounding the smoke.

At 43% the medicinal peat sits under dried and fresh fruit, citrus and chocolate, the years in glass adding to the appeal for collectors.
