Description

Fred Laing founded Douglas Laing in Glasgow in 1948, and the third generation runs it still. This 12 year old Laphroaig, from cask DL 19831, was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2025.

Time in ex-Bourbon, twelve years of it, frames the heavily peated make.

At 48.4%, undiluted, soft vanilla comes from the ex-Bourbon. Tar, smoke and antiseptic iodine run the length of it.
