Description

A small Dutch-market release of 1,400 bottles, this 11 year old splits its time between ex-Bourbon and Oloroso. The sherry pulls dried fruit through Laphroaig's medicinal smoke without dulling its edge.

At eleven years the spirit is still youthful and oily, and the Oloroso's melanoidins, reading as fig and raisin, give it a sweeter counterweight.

Bottled at 48%, the peat stays medicinal and smoky with the dried fruit folded through, the malt heavily peated as ever over Islay peat.
