Duncan Taylor has traded and bottled Scotch since 1938, latterly from Aberdeenshire. Filled in 2011 and bottled 2023, the whisky is a 11 year old Laphroaig, from cask 5637145., part of The Octave series.

Eleven years in a bourbon hogshead shape the iodine-rich spirit.

At 54.4%, undiluted, the American oak leaves vanilla. Iodine, brine and peat smoke define the south-Islay style.
