Founded in 1938, Duncan Taylor moved to Huntly and built a name on old and closed-distillery casks. This bottling is a 11 year old Laphroaig, from cask 5637114, laid down in 2011 and drawn off in 2023., part of The Octave series.

Eleven years in Oloroso layer the cask onto its phenolic, medicinal smoke.

Bottled at cask strength, 53.6%, sherried fig and raisin come from the Oloroso. The peat reads medicinal and oily, iodine cutting through.
