Description

Murray McDavid was founded in 1996 by Mark Reynier, Gordon Wright and Simon Coughlin, the team that went on to revive Bruichladdich. Distilled in 1987 and bottled in 1998, this 11 year old Laphroaig, from cask MM 1903 followed.

Eleven years of ex-Bourbon soften peat heavy with tar and brine.

At 46%, the bourbon wood adds vanilla and light spice. The smoke is tarry and medicinal, salt on the close.
