Pure Malt Scotch Whisky: the wording on this rare Italian bottling belongs to an era long gone, which is exactly why collectors chase it. One of the older 10s to survive, at the old 43% strength.

The liquid is Laphroaig as it was made decades ago, ten years in ex-Bourbon the malt heavily peated as ever.

At 43% the peat is medicinal with a cooked-vegetable edge, vanilla beneath. Bought for the label as much as the dram.
